With the introduction of the second generation
EcoStar-II burner, Hauck has succeeded in creating the quietest and cleanest
burner on the market. The greatest advantage of this burner though, is its
efficiency. A number of these burners have now been installed in Canada
and the USA, and have shown fuel savings of 10% - 25% over the burners that they
have replaced. With the recent fuel price increases this burner pays for
itself in just a few months.
Hauck's Eco-Star combustion system sets a new
standard for the latest generation of total air burners for the hot mix asphalt
industry. Available now in sizes from 25 - 175 MBtu/hr. The Eco-Star
maximizes your production whether you're burning No. 2 - No. 6 fuel oil, LP, or
natural gas. Plant personnel, as well as your neighbours, will appreciate
the Eco-Star's very quiet operation. The sealed-in design, coupled with smaller
horsepower blower motor requirements, significantly reduces combustion and
burner noise - an important consideration in many plant locations.
The Eco-Star's 100% total air design reliably
and precisely controls air-fuel ratio by means of electronically linked valves.
This system design reduces inefficient excess air, lowering fuel costs and
improving production. The Eco-Star's unique ability to switch between one of
three fuels gives the plant owner unparalleled flexibility in negotiating fuel
pricing and utilizing the most readily available fuel year round. The new
EcoStar II has a very simple design with a minimum number of moving parts.
This makes the EcoStar II a more reliable and maintenance friendly burner.
The Eco-Star is engineered to be a reliable,
low emission burner. The Eco-Star uses several proven technologies to
minimize the production of NOX, VOC, and CO.
